3/04/08 - Well all the hard training has paid off with a bronze medal in the 10km Scratch Race at the World Championships last weekend in Manchester.

In the lead up to the World Championships we had 10 days in Bordeaux to adjust to the time zones and to do our final preparation leading into competition. We then headed up to Manchester 7 days out from racing. We awoke to a light covering of snow on Easter Sunday. Monday morning we headed out training and about halfway into our training ride it started to snow again! Coming from Australia this was a fun, new and exciting experience for me... Well at least the first 30 minutes were before it got bitterly cold! Needless to say, for the rest of the week we pretty much just trained indoors at the Velodrome.
